Website updates
Now that I’m starting to get the hang of Framer, I started building out my website this month, adding more pages, sections and content. I also fixed a few layout issues and resolved some inconsistencies between pages
I added a 'Now' page - this was something I was really keen to add - a page that shows what I’m up to now; what I’m watching, reading, listening to, what I’m playing, what I’m enjoying and more. I’ve seen a few people introduce these pages into their websites and I love the personality that it adds and how it helps my website to really feel like my little slice of the internet.
In the interest of not having to update the page /too/ often, I plan to use it as a 'this is what I’ve been up to this past month' page, and aim to just update it once per month
I added /coffee and /gym to my About page - two pages where you can find out more about two of my biggest interest; coffee and working out. Coffee details my current coffee setup and will be updated to show what beans I’m currently drinking, and Gym shows my current workout split and a few extra details
I added something fun that makes the most of a feature of Safari; using the body background colour to tint the tab bar. I remember reading about this when it was announced, but it didn’t override my default preferences, so I never actually enabled it.
I’ve now added body colours that correspond to the theme of each of the pages in my site, so that Safari will change colour as you navigate throughout my site. I’m still experimenting with this; I think it’s maybe a bit extreme and shocking that it changes on almost every page, but it’s quite fun. We’ll have to wait and see how long I keep it like this

I’ve introduced proper mobile breakpoints for every page now too so /hopefully/ everything looks good on smaller screens. This was surprisingly easy to setup in Framer, once I realised how breakpoints were handled
I also added a footer. It’s basically empty and doesn’t always sit where I want it to, but it’s there
Thanks for reading!
Alex :)
