What I've been up to lately

Personal

I've just rehomed a tortoise! He's an 18 year old Horsfield Tortoise called Turty and he's perfect

I'm slowly restructuring my notes and to-do apps to use the PARA Method. I've still got a lot left to do but my stuff is already a lot more organised and I feel more focused and less cluttered.

I've also started waking up slightly earlier and starting work immediately, rather than spending an hour playing on my phone whilst I eat breakfast before work. I'm finding that the first couple of hours of the day are now much more focused and seems to be helping fight off the adhd-esque behaviour that'd normally riddle my afternoons

Media

Playing

Marvel SNAP - iOS

Cityscapes - Apple Arcade (mostly iPad and TVOS)

Watching

Just started Loki (Season 2)

Recently finished Tokyo Ghoul

I'm a few episodes in to Death Note. I've seen it a few times but it was recently on sale on Apple TV for about £5 for the whole season so I couldn't say no

Reading

Pokémon Adventures Collectors Edition: Vol 1

The Road Rat Edition 17. This will be a slow burn for the next couple of months until the new issue arrives in my subscription

Listening

I'm having a drum & bass phase atm. Mostly liquid dnb (my Easy dnb playlist) but I'm also slowly assembling a dnb focus playlist. There's something about the monotony that my brain likes when I'm working

Also a bit of 30 Seconds to Mars in preparation for seeing them in Cardiff in a couple of weeks

Work

I'm still building out Hotdesk, our design system. I've been working on a new banner component as well as a new search-container to house a search bar and filter and export buttons as part of a table component

I've also been testing some fairly unexciting changes to invoice behaviour, and investigating building an iOS app for a small collection of our features
